The Al Wa’ad Society for Cancer Advocacy and Survivorship held three workshops in Bashir Hospital for medical staff who deal directly with patients with cancer (doctors, nurses, radiographer and laboratory) on 6-8 May 2012 entitled develop the skills of medical staff about ways to connect and communicate with cancer patients and their families and to raise the capacity of staff dealing with cancer patients in terms of how to deal with patients, which will have a positive impact on psychiatric patients and their families.


The training included the following lectures: psychological support in the medical services of the Dr. Youssef Muslim, and nutrition specialist Tetyana Alkor, and communication skills to Mrs. Manal Shahroury, and practical examples and real life stories of Ms. Susan Murad.
