The Al Wa’ad Society conducted a training camp for youth aged 20-22 years from PSUT and Hashemite University. The main purposes of the camp is to educate youth towards cancer patients’ advocacy, voluntary work and the importance of youth involvement in cancer patients’ advocacy. The camp aims also to establish a core team of young volunteers that will help and support Al Wa’ad Society in future activities. The camp conducted at Yajouz on 28-29 September, 2012 where twenty participants attended the camp. The main topics of the camp were: cancer control, cancer risk factors (smoking, nutrition and physical activities), and the importance of volunteering. Working groups sessions were conducted to write down proposed projects for supporting cancer patients in Jordan by the participants. At the end of the camp certificates were distributed by Mr. Khalid Dweik the organizer of the training camp and Dr. Amjad Qurshah.
